What does scaling remove?
Tartar is a mineralised deposit that clings to the teeth and cannot be removed by ordinary brushing. The hygiene appointment removes it, cleans the areas concerned and identifies where deposits come back.
The appointment does not replace daily habits. It allows them to be adjusted, for brushing or cleaning between the teeth for instance, according to what is observed.
Why do gums bleed?
Repeated bleeding can go with gum inflammation. The examination looks for plaque, tartar and other signs that guide the care. The treatment may include professional cleaning and precise advice for the difficult areas.
Bleeding does not have a single possible cause. If it persists, it is better to have it checked than to change your habits alone or stop brushing.
How often should you plan a check?
There is no interval that fits everyone. The frequency depends on your gums, how fast tartar comes back and the treatments already carried out. The team suggests a rhythm after looking at your situation.
